Rolling with the punches

Everything went Ok with Dave's biopsy.  He was at the hospital nearly all day, and had to take it easy for a few days after he got home, but the procedure went well.  His doctor called us yesterday and told us that the spots on his liver are cancerous.  He wants him to start on chemo again in two weeks.  It will be called FOLFIRI instead of FOLFOX.  Same sort of deal like before, he will go to the doctor's office and then have it infused at home for two days.  The only difference with this chemo is it doesn't have the oxyplatinum, which causes neuropathy and sensitivity to cold.   We are going to go to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America for a second opinion to see what treatments they have to offer.  Thanks for the prayers.

  1. Don't get down (I know, easy for me to say). It will be ok. I like the second opinion idea. If we can do anything, I mean anything let us know.

  2. I know you are down there for a reason, and I think you are doing the right things...getting a second opinion is always good. It will be nice for you to have options! Hang in there! He just has to get well...I know he can!
