Friday we had a follow up appointment with Dr. Jordan. Dave had his staples and drain removed. To remove the drain, the doctor pulled on the drain tube as hard as he could. He said it was going to be like starting up a lawn mower and Dave said it defnitely felt like it. I felt so bad and couldn't watch. The pain didn't last long and he is so glad to have it out.
Wednesday Dave is scheduled to have a port placed in his chest just under his collar bone where they will inject his chemo. It is an outpatient surgery and the doctor said after a few days he should get used to it being there. Thursday we are scheduled to meet with an oncologist.
Glad to hear you finally get to start fighting this!
